Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet said it has been granted a national radio broadcasting by the Swedish Media Authority, which takes effect on 01 August. Schibsted owns 91 percent of Aftonbladet and the trade union federation LO the other 9 percent. Aftonbladet said it intends is to fill a void in the Swedish radio landscape and reach more people with news journalism in their everyday lives.
