With the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to kick off this summer, Canada is getting into the spirit with new commemorative coins.
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament in Canada this June, the Royal Canadian Mint has released several coin designs to mark the occasion.
“In 2026, Canada welcomes the world’s biggest sporting stage, and with it, the chance to be part of something unforgettable,” reads the Mint’s site. “Mark the moment with an officially licensed FIFA World Cup 2026 collectible.”
The new collection features six very different designs, and they’re unlikely to end up in people’s pockets. Their price tags will make you do a double take — the most affordable one is a silver coin priced at $279.95, while one that’s main with pure gold costs a jaw-dropping $49,899.95. But don’t worry, you can pay for each coin with six monthly instalments.
The silver coins come in a colourful graphic paperboard box, while the gold coins are presented in black clamshell boxes packaged in a FIFA-branded beauty box. Each one comes with a certificate and an official FIFA World Cup 2026 authenticity label, which verifies each coin as an officially licensed collectible.
So, whether you’re a coin collector, a soccer fan, or just someone who really loves a good limited-edition drop, here are the FIFA World Cup 2026 coin designs to choose from.
